Curiosity Killed Us All
posted by Jordan on 2008/4/23 (Comics)Ghosts, much like vampires, get all kinds of neat abilities and bonuses when they take on the template. However, some of them are just plain weird, and the one described in the comic is one that always kind of confused me. Sure, it makes sense for balancing the game, but it just... doesn't make logical sense. Then again, a lot of things in D&D don't, so I suppose it works out.

I dunno, maybe ghosts can't be completely immersed in a solid surface and have to have one part of their form in open space at all times? At least that's how I'd rationalize it.

Note to self: all dungeon obstacles, walls and doors are to be at least 6 and 1/2 feet thick. Unless i want ghosts to have shortcuts. And what about porous materials?
