Up The Ante
posted by Jordan on 2008/4/23 (Comics)As I mentioned earlier in the comic, I like visualizing the various spell effects in the D&D universe. As soon as I read about Shadow Evocation, I knew exactly how I could show it, and I think the result turned out a lot better than I could have hoped.
I am also aware that Finx should have more magic missiles than that, but think of it as if the others have already hit and that those two are merely the "last in the train."

Each caster has a level of control of what their Magic Missiles look like. I had a sorcerer who was a descendant of Tiamat who had each of his 5 missiles look like dragon's heads, one of each colour of one Tiamat's heads.

you misspelled missile.
and since you mentioned spell effect visualization: are magic missiles supposed to be gray fist-sized balls? i allways liked the reddish glowing ones from baldurs gate.
